School Based Services

Clinic staff provides on-site school-based mental health services at 15 Los Angeles Unified School District schools for children who exhibit emotional and behavioral problems that significantly interfere with their functioning.  This includes students at risk for academic and delinquency problems, those struggling with anger management, and children who have experienced traumatic events such as witnessing street or gang violence.  School personnel refer students to services, which include assessment and evaluation, individual and group therapy, and medication support for children needing psychiatric services.

Three Rs Program

The Clinic develops innovative programs tailored to meet community need, such as our "Three Rs Project - Building Relationships, Resiliency and Recovery" This Robert Wood Johnson funded program partners with Norwood Elementary School to provide onsite mental health services with a special focus on the challenges faced by immigrants in our community.
